I believe with the help of African Mango (irvingia) and Alpha lipoic capsules, 300 mg, twice daily my metabolism appears to have sped up and I have lost the 30 pounds! I am 50 years old and have hypothyroidism (I take levothyroxine for my condition)so I am quite pleased with these results!One thing I want to tell anyone reading this review is you need to give the product about 14 weeks trial before you say it doesn't work..it takes that long for the Leptins in your body to adjust. I originally had been using Life Extension Integra Lean Irvingia capsules but found they were quite expensive. And it really does help with cravings!! It leaves you feeling refreshed just as long as you do not take within a few hours before bed. And the first few days even if it had been a few hours I was wide awake until almost 12 in the morning. But after my body got used to it I can fall asleep easily. So amazing, in fact, that I was only able to take it for a few days without having adverse effects. When my blood sugar gets low, my ability to think and speak dramatically declines, and I get extremely irritable. The problem with this supplement was that it took away the hunger pangs so well, I couldn't tell I needed to eat, and by the time my blood sugar was low enough for it to be a problem, I couldn't think through the fog enough to realize I needed food. Not only that, but it made me feel like eating was gross. I ended up giving them to one of my friends who doesn't turn stupid when she doesn't eat.Update 06/21/2011: Neither my friend, nor my sister noticed any impact from taking the supplement, so it's kind of a hit or miss type of deal. |
